Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) Exam pattern and scheme of examination are given below….

Exam Pattern: Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test (OTET) consists of two papers viz., Paper I and Paper II. Paper-I will be based on the topics of the Prescribed syllabus of the state for class I to V but their difficultly standard as well as linkages could be up to the secondary stage. Paper-II will be based on the topics of the prescribed syllabus of the state for Class VI to VIII but their difficulty standard as well as linkages could be up to senior secondary/ higher secondary/ +2 stage. The duration of the test in each paper shall be two hours & thirty minutes. Questions will be set to assess the candidates ability to analyse, Interpret and Apply his/ her Knowledge on the Subject.

1. All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions, each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. Questions will be set to assess candidate’s ability to analyze, interpret and apply the subject matter.
2. There shall be two papers of the OTET viz- Paper-I and Paper-II.
3. Total duration of the test in each paper shall be 2½ hours.
4. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one answer is correct.
5. The question papers in non-language subjects shall be bilingual i.e. in Odia and English.
6. Following languages shall be offered in Language – I: Odia, Hindi, Telugu, Urdu, Bengali. The candidate has to choose any one of the above languages for Language-I subject.
7. Language-II subject shall be English for all candidates.
8. There shall be no negative marking.
