Andhra Pradesh Police Sub-Inspector & Reserve Sup Inspector (ASI) Exam Pattern & Scheme of examination are given below…..

Scheme of Examination:

Andhra Pradesh Police Sub-Inspector Exam will consist of Preliminary Written Test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Final Written Examination.

I. Preliminary Selection Test: Candidates shall be required to appear for the Preliminary Written Test in two papers (each three hours duration).

II. Physical Measurements Test (PMT) :

The candidates should meet the following requirements:

11, 12, 13, 16 Men Height: Must not be less than 167.6 cms.
Chest: Must not be less than 86.3 centimeters round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 centimeters.
11, 12, 13, 16 Women Height: Must not be less than 152.5 cms.
Weight: Must not be less than 40 kgs
14 – Height: Must not be less than 168 cms.
Chest: Must not be less than 87 centimeters round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 centimeters.
15 – Height: Must not be less than 153 cms.
Weight: Must not be less than 45.5 kgs
Note: Provided that in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Tribes and aboriginal tribes in the agency areas of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari districts should meet the following requirements :

14 – Height: Must not be less than 164 cms.
Chest: Must not be less than 83 centimetres round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 centimetres.
III. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

Candidate who qualifies in the above Physical Measurement Tests will be required to undergo the following tests and be qualified as specified below.

a) For Post Code No.s 11, 14, 15 & 16: Men & Women Candidates must qualify in 1600 Meters run (1 Mile Run) and one out of remaining two events as detailed below.

b) For Post Code Nos. 12, 13 : Men & Women Candidates must qualify in all three events of the Physical Efficiency Test which carries 100 Marks as detailed below.

IV. Final Written Examination: Candidates who qualify in the Physical Test will be required to appear for a written examination in four papers, each of three hours duration. No. of Papers, Subjects, Maximum Marks for the Posts are given in the following table:

Questions in Papers III & IV will be objective in nature and will be set in English, Telugu and Urdu languages. Candidates have to answer the questions on an OMR answer sheet using Blue/ Black Ball Point pen only. For this purpose candidates should bring Blue / Black Ball Point pens along with them.
